Dhaka: Bangladesh has strongly condemned the brutal killings in Ethiopia and expressed concern at the kidnapping of 100 Ethiopian children by miscreants this week, reports BSS.

In a message to Foreign Minister of Ethiopia Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Thursday, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam hoped that the kidnapped children would be released immediately.

Expressing profound shock and deep sorrow at the loss of lives in the brutal killings, Shahriar Alam conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family members of the unfortunate victims.

He also prayed for the salvation of the departed souls and for granting fortitude to the families to bear the irreparable loss.
