Sylhet: Police in their separate drives have rescued three teenage boys and arrested six abductors from different places of the district.

Those rescued are Rabiul Islam, 15, son of Mahabbat Ullah of Dakkhingoan village of Nabiganj upazila in Habiganj district; Habib, 13, son of Jamal Miah of Chilakul village of Companyganj upazila; and Rasel Ahmed, 13, son of Khalique Ahmed of Rashidpur village in Kamalganj upazila of Moulvibazar district.

Shahjalal Munshi, officer-in-charge of Shahparan Police Station, said separate teams of police conducted drives in Sadar and Golapganj upazilas from Wednesday night to Thursday morning, and rescued the trio.

During the drives, the law enforcers also arrested six alleged abductors.
