Chittagong: At least four activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) were injured in a factional clash at Government Hazi Muhammad Mohsin College in Chittagong on Saturday afternoon.
Chawk Bazar police officer-in-charge Aziz Ahmed said the clash took place when a group of BCL activists, led by their leader Pavel, went to the college to show-off their political muscle, reports UNB.
But the activists of the college unit BCL protested the show-off and tried to get that group out of the campus. This led to brawl and scuffle that left at least four injured.
Police reached the campus soon after they had got the information, but failed to catch the ruling party activists responsible for making the educational institution unstable.
Additional policemen, however, were deployed at the college to avert any more trouble.
