Dhaka: The proposal seeking to restore parliament’s authority to impeach Supreme Court judges for misconduct or incapacity may be placed before the cabinet on Monday.

Law ministry has already submitted a copy of the draft to the cabinet division for raising the proposal before cabinet on its weekly meeting, said a cabinet official. 

Earlier, the16th amendment Constitution Act paved the way for restoring the parliament’s authority to impeach the apex court’s judges for misconduct or incapacity.
