Chittagong: Two men were hacked to death allegedly by their rival group over a land related dispute at Rangunia upazila in Chittagong in the early hours of Monday.

The deceased are Manjur Hossain, and Abul Kashem.

Local people said Manjur and Abul had a dispute over the authority of West road Batha area at Rangunia for a long time. Following the row, Manjur and Abul were killed by the member of their rival group at about 12:00 midnight.

The Rangunia police officer-in-charge Humayun Kabir said police recovered the bodies from the spot.
