Meherpur: Police recovered the body of an expatriate from Jhinerpul area under Gangni upazila of Meherpur on Monday morning.

The deceased is Milon Hossain, believed to 37 years, a Qatar expatriate, resident of Shampur village in Meherpur Sadar upazila.

Being informed, police went to the spot and recovered the body from a ditch of the area at about 8:00am, reports BSS.

The Gangni police officer-in-charge Akram Hossain said police are conducting investigation into the matter.

The body was later sent to Meherpur General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
