Case filed over Kashimpur prison guard murder, 1 held

Gazipur: A case has been filed against four people with Joydebpur police in connection with the killing of a guard of Kashimpur Jail.
Victim’s wife Nasrin Akhter filed the case on Monday night, said duty officer of the police station Abdul Aziz.
Of the accused, police arrested one Himel and did not disclose three others’ names, report UNB.
The complainant in the case mentioned that Himel used to tease daughter of victim Rustom’s brother Shah Alam who lives with family in Konabari area.
Himel along with three others killed her husband, as he protested stalking, she alleged.
Earlier on 25 April morning, Rustom Ali, aged around 60 years, a former sergeant instructor of the female unit of the jail, was gunned down by miscreants when he went to Ahmed Medicine Corner, adjacent to the main gate of the prison, to buy medicine.
