Dhaka: Colonel Anwar Latif Khan of Bangladesh Army has joined the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) as its additional director general.

Anwar Latif replaced Colonel Ziaul Ahsan, said Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan, deputy director (media) of the RAB headquarters.

Colonel Ziaul Ahsan has been given promotion to the brigadier general rank and appointed director of National Security Intelligence (NSI).
