Dhaka: Muggers looted Tk2.20 lakh after shooting a ‘bKash’ agent in Dhaka North city’s Gulshan area on Saturday morning.

Quoting Nazrul Islam, nephew of the victim, police said four muggers riding two motorcycles intercepted Billal Hossain, near Gulshan road 2 and snatched away a bag containing Tk2.20 lakh from him while he was going to his workplace on foot at about 9:00am.

Resisted, the muggers opened fire to Billal and fled the scene with the bag.

Later he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said Nayek Rafiqul Islam of the DMCH police camp.
