A former member of Bangladesh Air Force, who was convicted for violating discipline, has fled from Dhaka Medical College Hospital while undergoing treatment.

The fugitive was identified as Rezaul Karim, 26, who fled from ward no 701 of unit 3 at DMCH, said DMCH police outpost acting in-charge Sentu Chandra Das.

He said Rezaul was admitted to DMCH on February 9 on the health ground.

There were two jail security guards on duty there named - Khitish Chandra and Jafar, but the fugitive managed to flee at about 1:30pm.
