Sylhet: Police recovered hanging body of a housewife at Dibidyail in Surma upazila on Thursday.

The deceased is Pinki Rani Nath, 22, wife of Gobinda Chandra Nath of the upazila.

Quoting family sources, police said getting no response from the room of Pinki, the other house inmates informed the matter to local people.

Later locals found Pinki’s body hanged with the ceiling of her room around 9:00am.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Sylhet Osmani Medical College and Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Police said Pinki committed suicide by hanging herself from the room ceiling in absence of her husband over a family feud.
