Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan said BNP joint secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed went in ‘a deep hide out’ to avoid arrest as authorities were looking for him.

Shahjahan Khan made the remark in a view exchange meeting for countering arson and road safety at Kushtia district administration’s auditorium on Friday.

Transport owners, workers of Kushtia, Meherpur and Chuadanga, freedom fighters and leaders of Awami League-led 14-Party were present in the meeting.

The minister also claimed a section had hidden Salahuddin, and now they were pressurising the government for his return. He asked this section to avoid such double standard and trace the BNP leader by themselves.
