Terming Islami Chattra Shibir as the evil soul of Al-badr in 1971, Bangladesh Chattra League (BCL) has demanded ban on the organisation.

BCL president HM Bodiuzzaman Shohag made the demand at a press briefing at the Madhur Canteen on Dhaka University campus on Friday.

Shohag said the incidents of seizure of huge arms from the teachers’ quarters in Chittagong College and Hazi mohammad Mohsin College and detention of Shibir leaders and activists prove that even the Jamaat-Shibir minded teachers are involved in storing arms and planning violence.

Steps against those teachers were also demanded from the press briefing.
