Netrakona: A college student was found dead by a road at Netrakona on Saturday.

Family said deceased Rubel Khan, in his twenties, went out of the house on Friday night after receiving a phone call, but did not return home. On Saturday morning he was found unconscious with severe injury marks on his body on Netrakona Court Station road area.

He was taken to Sadar Hospital, but the doctors declared him dead.

Rubel Khan was a Year 3 accounting student of Netrakona Government College and resident of the village of Bahirchapra in the municipality area.  

Being informed, a team of Netrakona Sadar police station recovered the body and sent it to Netrakona Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Netrakona Model Police Officer-in-Charge Masudul Alam said the body had been sent to the hospital morgue for post-mortem examinations.

No case was filed yet, he added.
