4 JMB men on 6-day police custody

Dhaka: A court here on Saturday placed four members of banned Islamist outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) on six-day police custody for interrogation each in a case.
Metropolitan Magistrate Jahangir Hossain passed the order when Akhter Hossain, sub-inspector of the Dakkhin Khan police and also investigation officer of the case produced the JMB members before it seeking a 10-day police custody for each.
The four JMB members are Abbdur Razzak, Hanjela, Mofazzal and Ziaur Rahman.
Earlier on Friday, members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested the four JMB members in possession of a grenade and some explosives from Kasai Bazar in Dakkhin Khan area of the city.
RAB-10 warrant officer Hedayet Hossain filed a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act with Dakkhin Khan police station on the same day.
