Barisal:  One person was killed and four injured after a fire broke out at a chemical factory in the early hours of Monday at Bogra intersection area in Sadar upazila, Barisal, 114 kilometres South from Dhaka.

Nesar Pada, a painter, was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation and died while undergoing treatment.
The injured are admitted to Sher-E-Bangla Medical Collage Hospital.

Barisal fire station officials said the fire originated at the carbon section of Opsonin Chemical Industry at Bogra at about 2:00am.

Fire fighters brought the fire under control after three hours at about 5:00am.

The fire burnt down several rooms of the factory.
