Indian president, Bhutanese PM condemn Gulshan attack
Dhaka: Indian President Pranab Mukherjee and Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay on Saturday phoned Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a Spanish restaurant at Gulshan in Dhaka.
‘The Indian President and the Bhutanese Prime Minister made phone calls this evening to Sheikh Hasina and denounced the terrorist attack on the restaurant,’ said PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim.
They highly appreciated the steps taken by the Bangladesh government for tackling the situation effectively.
They assured the Bangladesh Prime Minister that India and Bhutan would stay beside Bangladesh and provide all necessary help.
Sheikh Hasina apprised them of the steps her government took to rescue the hostages and thanked the Indian President and Bhutanese Prime Minister for making the phone calls.
