PM requested to release ATCO chairman
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been requested to immediately release Association of Television Channel Owners (ATCO) president Alhaj Mohammad Mosaddek Ali.
Alhaj Mosaddek Ali Free Council also demanded that the cases filed against the entrepreneur should be withdrawn.
The council member secretary M Humayun Kabir on Monday handed over an application to the officials of prime minister’s office.
The council members said Mohammad Mosaddek Ali was arrested from in front of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson Khaleda Zia's Gulshan office on 1 February.
Cases were filed with Khilgaon, Badda and Mirpur model police against Mohammad Mosaddek Ali, who is also the chairman and managing director of NTV, in the charges of instigating and financially supporting vandalism of vehicles. The charges are purposeful, false, fake and dishonourable, claimed the council members.
