2 suspects held over Satkhira preist murder attempt

Satkhira: Detectives on Sunday night arrested two young men from Dhulihar and Waria village of Sadar upazila in connection with the murder attempt of a Hindu priest of a local temple at Bajuadanga village of Sadar upazila in Satkhira.
The arrestees are Jahidur Rahman, a resident of Dhulihar village, and Nur Bashar, a resident of Waria village of Jhaudanga union council of the upazila.
Detectives arrested them from their respective houses at night.
Meanwhile, the attempted murder case has been handed over to DB police and officer-in-charge Enamul Haque has been made the investigation officer, reports UNB.
Earlier Bhabosindhu Bar, 55, a Hindu priest of a local Bharmarajpur Radhagobindo temple, was stabbed by unknown assailants at the village early on Saturday.
Critical injured, the priest was admitted at Satkhira Sadar Hospital.
As his condition was deteriorated, he was shifted to the National Institute of Diseases of the Chest and Hospital in Dhaka.
Ram Prasad Sadhu, president of the temple committee, filed a case at night on the same day in this connection, accusing around 8 unidentified people.
