Two detained over Gulshan cafe siege: IGP
Dhaka: Police on Monday said they have formally arrested a detained attacker and one other over a siege at a cafe in which 20 hostages were killed.
‘Two people are in custody. We’ll file a case,’ Inspector General of Police (IGP) Shahidul Hoque told AFP.
However, IGP AKM Shahidul Haq said terrorists killed foreigners within 20 munities of the attack.
‘Hostages who were rescued from the Gulshan restaurant told police that that the attackers killed the foreigners within 20 minutes of the attack,’ he said.
The police cheif said this while addressing a programme at Rajarbagh Police Lines auditorium arranged in memory of the two slain police officials who were killed in the Gulshan café following a terror attack on Friday.
