Sudan keen to take physicians, medicine from Bangladesh
Dhaka: Sudan has expressed interest to take physicians and medicine from Bangladesh.
Sudanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Hassan E El Talib expressed the interest when he met Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim at his office on Monday, said a PID handout.
Lauding the quality of Bangladeshi medicine, the Sudanese envoy said both two countries will be benefited once Sudan takes Bangladeshi physicians. Specially, the Sudanese people will be benefited if they get Bangladeshi physicians for treating cardiovascular and cancer diseases.
During the meeting, Mohammad Nasim emphasised the need for strengthening the economic relation between the two countries.
Later, the Health Minister asked the officials concerned to take steps for bilateral meetings for sending physicians and exporting medicine to Sudan.
Meanwhile, Dr Hassan E El Talib requested the Health Minister to create scopes for admission of the Sudanese students to medical colleges in Bangladesh.
State Minister for Health Zahid Maleque, Health Secretary Syed Monjurul Islam and high officials concerned were present in the meeting.
