Today a day of joy, yet we’re unable to celebrate: Raushan
Dhaka: Leader of the opposition in Parliament and Jatiya Party leader Raushan Ershad on Thursday called for unity among all to counter the militant activities, saying she does not want repetition of an incident like Gulshan terrorist attack.
‘Though today is a day of joy, we are unable to celebrate it. We are very, very saddened today,’ she told reporters after visiting the spot of the terrorist attack in city’s diplomatic zone, reports UNB.
Raushan said Bangladesh is by and large a peaceful country and its people are peace-loving ones. ‘People never like such attack. Nobody can support such attack. We do not want to see any such incident in the future.’
The opposition leader said all the people must stand against those people who are involved in heinous activities. ‘We must find out their roots so that such incident does not repeat.’

‘Let us work together and build a peaceful Bangladesh,’ said the opposition leader.
Asked whether there was any weakness or failure from intelligences, Raushan said detectives had no weaknesses as it happened suddenly.
‘No weaknesses and no failure from anybody.’
