Victim of Magura firebombing dies
Magura: Imran Molla, a transportation worker, who sustained severe burn injuries in a firebomb attack, died while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Burn Unit at about 6:00am on Wednesday, taking the death toll in the incident to five.
Imran Mollah, in his twenties, resident of Maligram village in Sadar upazila, Magura, received 60% burn injuries.
Earlier, Yadul Mollah, Shakil Mollah, Rowshan Ali Biswas, and Matin Biswas died from burn injures in the same incident.
Nine workers were burnt as miscreants hurled petrol bombs at a truck at Moghirdal area of Magura at about 8:00pm on 21 March.
The injured were taken to Magura Sadar Hospital and later they were shifted to DMCH burn unit.
About 72 people were killed in firebomb and arson attack across the country since 5 January as the BNP-led 20-Party Alliance enforced indefinite blockade and shutdown.
