Rajshahi: Tamanna Ferdous, a trainee pilot was burned to death after a training aircraft caught fire at Shah Makhdum Airport in Rajshahi on Wednesday afternoon.

Another also suffered burn injuries during the accident.

Bangladesh Flying Academy engineer said the engine of the training aircraft caught fire at the airport while taking off at about 2:00am, leaving Tamanna dead on the spot and instructor Syed Kamal injured with burns.

Syed was taken to Rajshahi Cantonment Hospital.
