4 ‘ABT members’ to be quizzed for 5 days in Ctg

Chittagong: A Chittagong court on Tuesday placed four suspected members of banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team on a five-day police custody for interrogation each in a case filed under the Anti-terrorism Act.
Additional Judicial Magistrate ASM Shahidullah Kaiser passed the order when police produced them before the court with a 10-day police custody prayer for interrogation.
Those remanded were Shipon alias Foysal, 26, of Brahmanbaria, Khorshed Alam, 27, of Anwara upazila, Russell Mohammad Islam of Sitakunda and Musa Ibn Umayer, 26, of Patiya in Chittagong.
Earlier, police arrested the four suspected militants from different parts of Sitakunda upazila on Saturday afternoon and Monday evening.
The police team also recovered four machetes, four laptops and five mobile phones from their possession.
Later, a case was filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
