3 of a family killed in Bogra road crash

Bogra: Three members of a family were killed and two people injured as a bus crashed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Sabgram in Bogra town on Friday, reports UNB.
The deceased are auto-rickshaw driver Ziaur Rahman, 22, his wife Reshma Khatun, 20, and their son Atiqur Rahman, 8, of Madla village in Shahjahanpur upazila of the district.
Assistant director of Bogra Fire Service and Civil Defence Zakir Hossain said the accident took place at about 8:00pm when the Rangpur-bound bus hit the three-wheeler from the opposite direction on the bypass road-2 in the area, leaving auto-rickshaw driver, his wife and son dead on the spot and its two passengers injured.
On information, a fire brigade team recovered the bodies and sent those to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital morgue, he said.
The injured were admitted to the same hospital.
Inspector (Investigation) of Sadar Police Station Aslam Ali said police seized the bus but its driver and helper managed to flee the scene.
