Dhaka: Police recovered the unidentified bodies of a young boy and a young girl from separate places of the Buriganga River in Keraniganj upazila on Wednesday.

The girl, aged around 17, was wearing in blue kameez and white salwar while the boy, aged around 16, wearing jeans pants and t-shirt with white-black check.

Locals spotted the floating body of the girl on the river in Singboard ghat area at noon and informed police, said sub-inspector of Keraniganj Model Police Station M Ilias Miah.

Later, the law enforcers recovered the body and sent it to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital morgue.

Besides, being informed by locals, a team of South Keraniganj Police Station recovered the body of the boy from the river near Postagala Army camp area at noon and sent it to the same morgue, said sub-inspector of the police station M Samsul Alam.
