Dhaka: Prominent businessman and Dutch Bangla Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DBCCI) President Hassan Khaled remained missing since Saturday morning.

“Khaled remained traceless since 8:30 am on Saturday,” an official at the DBCCI told UNB referring to his family members.

“I met and talked to him on Thursday last,” the official said mentioning that a general diary has been filed with Dhanmondi Police Station in this regard.

Noor-e-Azam Miah, officer-in-charge of the police station, confirmed that a GD was registered on Saturday night and they were trying to trace him.

The DBCCI officials said Khaled was busy organising a single country fair in the Netherlands in September last week.

Meanwhile, the DBCCI Board of Directors sought earnest cooperation and appropriate steps from law enforcement agencies to find him out.

The Board held an emergency meeting on Sunday evening and expressed grave concern over the missing of its President.

A notice seeking support from the government sent to the Home Ministry, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Rapid Action Battalion (Rab), Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner and other authorities concerned, the DBCCI said.

The personal mobile number of the DBCCI President was found forwarded to an unknown number, which is unreachable.

The DBCCI secretary general Altaf Hossain Biswas requested all to contact Murad Hassan (cell No-01911315555), younger brother of Khaled and DBCCI administrative officer Nazrul Islam Chowdhury Didar (01716918181) for further information.
