Dhaka: Sagar Barman, a 10-year-old worker of textile factory in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj, died due to air pumping into his body, said AKM Shafiuzzaman, an assistant professor at the Forensic Department of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

Shafiuzzaman came up with the information while talking to reporters at the hospital after conducting the autopsy on Sagar’s body, reports UNB.

Several injury marks were found in Sagar’s anus and stomach, he said.

However, samples of the body were sent to Mohakhali forensic lab for viscera test while blood samples to the DMCH pathology department for test, he said.

On Sunday, Sagar Barman, son of Ratan Barman of Rajipur village of Kaliajuri upazila of Netrakona district, was killed allegedly by pumping air into his body through his anus at the textile factory in Rupganj upazila.

Ratan Barman, father of the victim, filed a case against 6-7 unidentified people with Rupganj Police Station on Sunday night in this connection.
