Dhaka: Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Hassan Khaled was found dead in the River Buriganga on Tuesday, four days after going missing from his Dhanmondi residence in Dhaka, police said.

His body was found floating in Keraniganj area of the river. Police confirmed the body was of Hassan Khaled’s as they found a business card in the pocket of the deceased person’s outfit, said Keraniganj Model Police officer-in-charge Ferdous Hasan.

Hassan Khaled’s family has been asked to come and identify the body, Ferdous added.

55-year-old Hassan Khaled, also New Era Trading chief executive officer, went out to buy medicines at about 9:00am on Saturday, but did not return.
