Autopsy of Kalyanpur ‘militants’ starts at DMCH

Dhaka: A three-member team of the forensic department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Wednesday morning started to conduct autopsy on the bodies of the nine suspected militants killed in a special police operation in Dhaka’s Kalyanpur on Tuesday.
Sohel Mahmud, assistant professor of the forensic department, led the three-member medical team.
Two other members of the team are—Dr Pradeep Biswas and Dr Sohel Kabir, both lecturers of DMCH.
They started conducting autopsy at about 11:00am, said the DMCH authorities.
Earlier on Tuesday, the nine suspected militants were killed in police firing during an operation by a special team of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in Kalyanpur.
Their bodies were taken to DMCH on Tuesday evening.
