Dhaka: Police will quiz the wife of the owner of the Dhaka’s Kalyanpur house where nine suspected militants were killed in an operation by the joint forces on Tuesday.

A Dhaka court on Wednesday granted two days for interrogating Mamtaz Parveen, as police produced her before the court seeking to quiz her for 5 days. She was shown arrested under section 54 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nurunnahar Yesmin passed the order, according to a UNB report.

Police arrested Mamtaz and her son on Tuesday for ‘renting house to armed militants and hiding their information from police.’

The owner of the building Atahar Uddin Ahmed lives abroad.

An operation codenamed ‘Storm 26’ was carried out by the joint security forces in the 6-storey building, locally known as Jahaz Bari in Kalyanpur area around 5:45am on Tuesday in which a total of nine suspected militants were killed.
