Dhaka: Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu on Friday called upon the deputy commissioners to play their due role in eliminating militancy and establishing good governance for the overall development of the country.

The minister came up with the call while talking to reporters after addressing the concluding day of the four-day DCs’ conference at the Secretariat, reports UNB.

‘Now we’re fighting for curbing militancy, ensuring development and establishing good governance and DCs can play role in this fight as directed in the constitution,’ he said.

As the employees of the republic it is the constitutional duty of the DCs to play due role in curbing militancy and establishing good governance, Inu added.
