Police said a dockyard worker was hacked to death by a group of miscreants over previous enmity at Nabiganj in Bandar upazila on Friday evening.

The deceased is identified as Faysal, 23, son of Abdul Rashid, a resident of Nabiganj, reports UNB.

Assistant Superintendent of Police of Narayanganj Abdullah Masud said Faysal had been at loggerheads with some local terrorists over establishing supremacy in the area.

As a sequel to this, a group of 8/9 miscreants swooped Faysal and hacked him indiscriminately at about 7:00pm, leaving him injured.

Later, he succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to hospital.

The body was sent to hospital morgue for an autopsy.
