14 Jamaat-Shibir men among 66 held in Satkhira

Satkhira: Police in a special drive arrested 66 people, including 14 activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir, from different areas in Satkhira from Saturday evening to Sunday morning on various charges.
Satkhira Special Branch (SB) of police inspector Mizanur Rahman said police launched a drive in different areas of eight upazilas and arrested them.
The arrestees, a number of whom were accused in sabotage cases, were sent to jail, added Mizanur.
Among the arrestees, 34 were from Sadar upazila, 12 from Kalaroa, three from Tala, five from Kaliganj, three from Ashashuni, four from Shyamnagar, one from Debhata and four from Patkelghata upazila.
