Dhaka: A low has developed over Northeast Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay and East central Bay and now lies over Northwest Bay and adjoining Northeast Bay.

A press release of Bangladesh Metrological Department said on Monday monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over North Bay.

Met office predicts light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Dhaka divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.

Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Meanwhile, Met office warning message reads this morning that in association with rain or thunder showers temporary gusty or squally wind speed 45-60kph is likely to occur over the regions of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Jessore, Kushtia & Khulna wherein river-ports were asked to hoist cautionary signal no one.

Today’s sunset at Dhaka would be at 6:41pm and tomorrow’s sunrise would be in Dhaka 5:28am.

The maximum temperature was recorded as 35.8 degree Celsius at Syedpur in Rangpur division and the minimum 23.9 degree Celsius temperature was recorded at Kumarkhali in Khulna division today, the release added.
