Police to quiz Mirpur house caretaker over Gulshan attack
Dhaka: A Dhaka court on Tuesday granted police two days to quiz the caretaker of a Mirpur house who reportedly gave shelter to a Holey Artisan Bakery attack suspect, reports UNB.
Metropolitan Magistrate Nurunnahar Yasmin passed the order after inspector Humayun Kabir of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, also the investigation officer of a case filed in connection with the incident, produced Daud Patwari before her court seeking seven days to quiz him, said court police sub-inspector Ranap Kumar Bhakta.
Earlier on Monday, the CTTC arrested Daud, the caretaker of a house of Arifabad Housing Society in Rupnagar in the capital, for allegedly giving shelter to suspected militant Ismail who was reportedly involved in the Gulshan café attack.
