Mathematician Khodadad Khan passes away
Dhaka: Professor AFM Khodadad Khan, noted mathematician and a former teacher of the Department of Mathematics of the University, died on Tuesday at a hospital in Dhaka at the age of 84.
Born on 1 November, 1932 at Gafargaon in Mymensingh, Professor AFM Khodadad Khan started his teaching career at the Department of Mathematics at Dhaka University in 1968.
Since he went on retirement in 2002, he had been working at the Department of Mathematics of Independent University Bangladesh (IUB).
Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique today expressed deep shock at the death of AFM Khodadad Khan.
He also conveyed deep sympathy to members of the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul, said a press release.
