Chittagong: A coffee shop owner was found dead in his shop in New Market area in Chittagong on Sunday morning.

The deceased is Shahjalal Farhad, resident of Fulgazi in Feni and owner of ‘Coffee House’ located at Jalsa market in Chittagong.

Family members of Shahjalal found his phone switched off after 11:00pm on Saturday, said Jasim Uddin, the Kotowali Police Station Officer-in-charge.

His brother found the coffee shop closed from outside in the morning and called police.

Later, police broke open the shutter of the shop and found Shahjalal’s body stuffed in a sack at the back side of the shop where Shahjalal used to stay at night, added the OC.
