Benapole: Two siblings died from snakebite at Hariaghop village in Keshabpur upazila of Jessore on Tuesday.

Rezwan Khan of the village said a venomous snake bit his daughter Afia Khatun, 12, a class V student, and son Abdus Salam, 7, a class I student of local primary school, in their sleep at their home at about 3:30am.

He said they were taken to local clinic where Salam died at about 9:00am while Afia died on the way to Khulna from the clinic.
