Natore: Four Bangladeshis were killed in a fire at a Sofa factory in Manfuha area of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased, all residents of Naldanga upazila of Natore, are Samiul Islam alias Saddam, of the village of Sripurpara at Khajura in the upazila, Jamal Hossain Molla, of village of Jonardanbati, Asim, and Amirul Islam, resident of the village of Bhetopara.
Khajura union council Chairman Khalilur Rahman said the fire broke out at the sofa factory in Riyad’s Manfuha at about 2:00pm (Saudi local time) due to electric short circuit, and left four Bangladeshi workers burnt to death.
