Natore: A night guard was killed in a road accident at Baro Harishpur bypass area in Natore town on Friday morning.

The deceased, Ali Hossain, 50, was a resident of Bezpara Amheti village of Natore sadar upazila, reported BSS.

Police sergeant Hamidul Islam of Zhalmalia Highway Police Camp said, the accident occurred when a Dhaka bound truck coming from Chapainawabganj hit Ali Hossain in front of Monwara Petrol Pump area of the bypass early this morning.

A team of Natore Fire Service Station rescued the injured from the spot and sent to the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH). But he died on the way to hospital.
