2 Dhaka kids killing: mother to be quizzed
Dhaka: A Dhaka court on Saturday granted police five days to interrogate Tanzin Rahman, arrested for allegedly killing her two kids at her Sabujbagh residence in Dhaka on Friday night.
Metropolitan Magistrate Golam Nabi passed the order when Mostafizur Rahman, inspector (Investigation) of Sabujbagh Police Station and also investigation officer of the case, produced her before the court seeking 7 days for quizzing her, reports UNB.
Police arrested Tanzin, mother of the two minor siblings whose throat-slit bodies were found in the city’s Sabujbagh area, last night.
The bodies of Mashrafi Bin Mahbub Abrar, 7, son of Mahbubur Rahman, and his (Abrar) sister Humaira Binte Mahbub Takia were found at their house in Basabo area on Friday night.
Their father, Mahbubur Rahman, filed a case with Sabujbagh Police Station accusing his wife, Tanzin, on Saturday morning.
Tanzin, said to be mentally ill, remained traceless since the incident occurred on Friday night.
During preliminary interrogation, Tanzin confessed to killing her two kids, the OC of Sabujbagh police station said.
