Comilla: A man was held for killing his wife and minor son in Rangamati’s Langadu upazila on Wednesday.

Police identified the arrested person as Nazmul Hasan, son of Abdul Matin, a resident of Karkoit Simantapur village in Chandina upazila of Comilla.

Nazmul, a guard of the medicine company ‘Mim Pax Agro Complex’, confessed that he was directly involved in the killing, UNB reported quoting Mohammad Salauddin, inspector (Investigation) of the Kotwali Police.

Nazmul was held at about 11:30am after police had launched a manhunt in the area, Salauddin added.

Nasima Akhter, wife of Nazmul Hossain, and their son Nafis, aged one and a half years, were found dead in a septic tank in the city’s Housing Estate Area on Sunday.
