Chapainawabganj: Police recovered the body of a young man, who had gone missing on Thursday, from the Pagla River at Kansat in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj on Saturday morning.

The deceased is Golam Rasul, 22, son of Shafiqul Islam, a resident of Laibotola village in the upazila.

Shibganj Police Sub-inspector Mahfuzul Alam said local people found the body floating on the river in the morning and informed police.

Later, police recovered the body at about 10:30am and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy.

An Unnatural Death case was filed in connection with the incident.
