Dhaka: The fire that broke out at a shop of a multi-storey building at Rokeya Sharani in Dhaka’s Mirpur area on Monday morning has been brought under control.

The fire service control room official Enayet Hossain said the fire that originated on the ground floor of a six-storey building was brought under control at about 9:20am.

Earlier, a fire broke out of a shop ‘Parda Bilash’ on the ground floor of the building, which is beside the building of Al Helal Hospital at Senpara of Mirpur.

Six firefighting units went to the spot at about 8:30am to douse the blaze.

The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
