Dhaka: The High Court on Monday denied bail to two accused in the Juba League leader Riazul Haque Khan Milky murder case.

An HC bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice JBM Hassan rejected the bail petition of Rafiqul Islam Chowdhury and Ibrahim Khalilullah, citing it was not pressed, reports UNB.

Milky, organising secretary of Dhaka city (South) unit of Juba League, was allegedly gunned down by his close associate Zahid Siddique Tarek, who was also the joint secretary of the unit, in front of Shoppers World at Gulshan in Dhaka in the wee hours of 30 July 2013.

Hours after the killing of Milky, elite force RAB arrested Tarek from a hospital at Uttara.

On 1 August, Tarek and another suspected terrorist, Shah Alam, were killed in a ‘shootout’ with the RAB members.

Milky’s brother Rashedul Haque filed a murder case with Gulshan Police Station against nine identified people and several unknown ones.
