SC wants bank statement of Ragib-Rabeya Medical College
Dhaka: The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered principal of Ragib-Rabeya Medical College at Tarapur Tea Estate in Sylhet to submit its bank statement for last one year by 31 August.
A five-member Appellate Division bench led by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha passed the order this morning while holding hearing on a plea of college authority, reports BSS.
The apex court in an order in January this year asked Sylhet deputy commissioner to hand over the authority of Tarapur Tea Estate to the custodian of Shree Shree Randha Krishna Jeu Temple and had ordered eviction of all the illegal structures including the college from the property compound.
After the order, the college authority in June had submitted the petition, pleading for one year time to relocate the facility.
