Naogaon: The throat-slit body of a schoolboy was found at Chokabir village in Badalgachhi upazila on Friday morning, reports UNB.

The deceased is Ahsan Habib, son of Anwar Hossain, a resident of Kolabhandarpur village of the upazila and a class X student of Balubhora High School.

Police said Ahsan used to stay at the house of his grandfather (maternal) at Chokobir village from where he went missing on Thursday evening.

Locals found his body at about 9:00am and informed the family members.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Naogaon Adhunik Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

The body bore several injury marks, added the police.

The reason behind the murder could not be known immediately.
