3 militants were killed by bullets: autopsy reports

Dhaka: All the three militants, including Tamim Chowdhury, who were killed during a special police raid on a den of 'New JMB' in Narayanganj, died from bullet wounds.

Sohel Mahmud, assistant professor of Forensic Department of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, said the three militants sustained bullet wounds in their heads, reports UNB.

Besides, splinter injuries were found on the body of Tamim while splinters found in the bodies of two other militants, he said while talking to reporters after conducting postmortems on their bodies from 11:00am to 1:00pm today.

However, the bodies were taken to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue.

Earlier, three militants including the mastermind of Gulshan café attack, Tamim Chowdhury, and two others were killed during the 'Hit Strong-27' police operation in the den of 'New JMB' in a building of Narayanganj sadar upazila on Saturday morning.

A case was filed with Narayanganj Sadar Police Station against the three militants.
